The Inner West plumbing dilemma

Jacquie was a single mother of three and without a man around the house and little knowledge of repair work; She was terrified of having to pay for an emergency repair because she didn’t have a man aroudn to help her with the plumbing jobs around the place such as blocked toilets, broken pipes and leaking taps.

So, when the toilet refused to flush one Friday, Jacquie just stood there, shaking her head. “Here we go again”, she murmured as three little heads looked solemnly at the toilet bowl.

As she dialed one plumbing service after the other, she felt a terrible sense of déjà vu. The last time had been just like this. Gosh! Why was it so difficult to locate a plumber in Inner West?

Then she remembered she had received a plumbing flyer in the mail. The flyer mentioned that they can repair toilets, taps and clear blocked drains which is just want Jacquie needed to hear and they service the inner west area, including her suburb Marrickville.

For a change, the phone was picked up immediately. Warmed by the cheerful voice at the other end, she explained her problem, taking care to stress the need for speed, what with three young children at home. As promised, the plumber from Inner West was at her door in time, which was another big surprise.

Just before he left, he handed Jacquie his card. “Just in case you have an emergency, here is my card, call me anytime if you have problems with any plumbing”, he said with a twinkle in his eye.

It also said that they carry out works to hot water services including replacement hot water services and blocked drains which was handy for Jacquie as she had had problems with her drains in the past,
